What's new at Electric Park Studio?
             Our new location in downtown Calgary has been attracting lots of buzz in the local scene. This month we have been extremely busy with everything from hip hop production, drum tracking and live on location recording. We were pleased to have Don Castro in the studio, who has started production on his next Hip Hop release. As well as the completion of 2 songs for AfterEarth which will be appearing on a video game available for the X Box, created in the vain of Twisted Metal. These guys are great and have exploded onto the Calgary Metal scene, for more info on AfterEarth visit their myspace @ http://www.myspace.com/metalafterearth .
             We started phase 2 of Lowell Van Caroll and Insufficient Funds a few weeks ago and I am very excited about how this whole project is coming together. Lowell is an amazing song writer with an equally matched voice,  and the musicians appearing on the record are fantastic. Dallas Lobb (Adverse Reaction, War Eagle Rising), Brett Winnichuk (Back Ally Boozers), and Russ Gauthier  (Lordosis, Meggido, War Eagle Rising) to name a few, keep your eyes and ears peeled for this one.               Bloated Pig has arrived at Electric Park this week, and tracking for there upcoming release has started. (above) Will Wagner (Bloated Pig) tracking drums and sharing the benefits of eating celery.

Recording Greasy Riffs!

Electric Park Studio is pleased to announce the completion and official release of Adverse Reaction's "The Greasy Riffs E.P". Recorded by Ian Dillon, this bands first release is now available on iTunes

WHATS NEW THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!!!!

Hi everyone, happy holidays. It is shaping up to be a busy december for  us here at Electric Park Studio, We look forward to starting the second faze of The Lowell Van Carroll project this month with new songs and ideas from this great folk artist, some singles have been posted on the official Lowell Van Carroll myspace page,  http://www.myspace.com/lowellvancarroll as well as on www.iandillon.com .
     We are also pleased to announce our first pop, pop/rock project to be completed at Electric Park Studio this month, tracking starts in a few weeks, we are looking forward to widening our horizons in exploration of new sounds and ideas for this one, keep posted for more info.
      A new mic pre has been added to our  gear arsenal, the newly designed Universal Audio 4-710d, This great pre blends the combination of solid state with tube amplification to create unbelievable quality and transparence to  the recorded source. I love this pre, it sounds great!
     Last but not least the Adverse Reaction sessions are set to be released on January 14th 2011, we are currently wrapping up the final takes and putting the record into post production.

First Month was a success!!!!

Hey everyone, I am pleased to tell you all that  Electric Park Studios first month of operation was a complete success. First off, I would like to thank Brian @ annexpro for all his help,  the new Avid HD I/O and the Omni are amazing,  every thing is in great working order. As well as Angela Carson @ The Scarlett Page for all her hard work. This month we were able to complete the first phase of the Lowell Van Caroll project, keep you eyes peeled for this up and coming folk singer. We also wrapped up the Perfect Water Band's recordings, set to be released in early 2011, watch for it on itunes! We also completed a Project for sludge metal band The Whorehouse Massacre, these guys are a big deal in the european sludge scene, check them out on Streaks Records, We will be posting some updated recordings from our studio on www.iandillon.com later this month, check back often to see whats new. Last but not least the Adverse Reaction demo is well on its way to completion, we had Cam in rocking the vox, keep an eye out for this Calgary metal scene super group. See you soon.
